With a key save by freshman keeper Edwyn Gutierrez, the Mt. SAC Men’s Soccer team became only the third team to win five California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) championships in the 42-year history of competition Sunday at Ventura College. Cerritos College wins fifth state championship in a row

Extended to overtime in the CCCAA State Championship game, the Cerritos College women’s soccer team pulled out a 2-0 win over Diablo Valley College on Sunday at the Ventura Sports Complex. The championship is the fifth in the row for the Falcons (23-1-1), who now hold the state record for most championships in a row. They shared the record with Long Beach City College, who won four in a row from 2000-03. Cerritos Colleges goes for the record on Sunday: 5 state championships in a row

  For the fifth year in a row, the Cerritos College women’s soccer team has advanced to the CCCAA State Championship game. The Falcons (22-1-1) posted a 3-2 win over Folsom Lake College (17-4-4) last Friday and are one win away from their fifth consecutive state title and seventh in school history.
